Attending book events like the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books continues to play an important role in connecting stories with readers. It opens doors for collaboration, discovery, and inspiration that go beyond the pages of a book. As Citi of Books carries this momentum forward, readers are invited to explore featured titles in their Book Gallery, including Golden Nuggets Sent from Heaven While We Talk by Edward V Robinson.

Edward Robinson was born in St. Petersburg, FL, where he lived until the age of 15. He then moved to Stroudsburg, PA, and resided in several cities within the surrounding area. He graduated from high school in East Stroudsburg and attended Northampton Community College in Tannersville, PA. While in Florida, he grew up Baptist but was converted to the Apostolic Faith as an adult when he was blessed with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues.

Edward comes from a large family. His parents were Mable and George, but he was raised by his grandmother, Gladys. He has 10 brothers and sisters, as well as a large family of daughters, sons, and grandchildren, who live across several states from Pennsylvania to Florida. Edward enjoys playing sports and has received trophies for Track & Field and Football.

Of all his accomplishments in life, Edward considers his service to the Lord the most important. He has been saved for over 30 years and is an Ordained Deacon called to the ministry, attending Greater Ecclesia Church. Over the past year, writing his book has brought him closer to the Lord, beginning every conversation with “Can We Talk…”

“Golden Nuggets Sent from Heaven While We Talk” by Edward V Robinson found a warm and meaningful spotlight during the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2026, where stories of faith and connection resonated deeply with attendees. From our side at Citi of Books, it was a joy to showcase a title that feels less like a traditional read and more like a quiet, personal conversation. Visitors who stopped by the book gallery were drawn in by its inviting tone, almost as if the author himself was gently asking, “Can we talk?”

What made this book stand out was its heart. Rooted in a devoted prayer life, each of the 365 entries reflects a sincere desire to grow closer to Jesus. The devotional format felt approachable, never overwhelming, and always grounded in scripture that highlights the presence of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in everyday life. Many who discovered it during the festival shared how refreshing it felt to encounter something so simple yet deeply personal. It didn’t try to impress. It simply invited readers to pause, reflect, and build their own quiet moments of connection.

Looking back, featuring this book at LATFOB 2026 felt especially timely. In a world that has gone through uncertainty and loss, messages of hope, prayer, and faith carried extra weight. This wasn’t just a book on display. It was a reflection of someone spending real time with the Lord and encouraging others to do the same. For us as a publishing and marketing team, it was a reminder of why events like this matter. They give space for stories like Edward V. Robinson’s to reach the right readers at the right moment.
