Tomorrow, the wait comes to an end. After days of anticipation, the Bookmarks Festival of Books & Authors 2026 is finally just one day away. On September 26–27, 2026, Winston-Salem will welcome a community of readers and authors ready to celebrate literature, exchange ideas, discover new books, and enjoy the unique atmosphere that only a literary festival can create.
The 2026 celebration marks the 21st anniversary of Bookmarks, with the main festival bringing the energy of books and authors to downtown Winston-Salem. Visitors will have opportunities to attend author panels and readings, meet writers during book signings, explore exhibitors and vendors, and enjoy activities throughout the festival. Families can also take part in the children’s area, where young readers can enjoy activities and receive free books.
For Citi of Books, the final day of the countdown carries a special sense of excitement. Tomorrow is an opportunity to place our authors and their books in front of new readers and to become part of conversations that extend beyond the pages themselves.
