In The Palace, Cox artfully blends several genres into his story. The Palace is part adventure tale, self-help book, and romance novel all in one. Although it is fiction, the lead character, Bob Cole, is modeled loosely after Cox himself.
Robert Austin Cox was born in Southern California but eventually settled in the Sacramento Valley. Over a 16-year period, Cox published two self-help magazines: ‘Good News’ magazine and ‘Go For It’ magazine. Both were successful and highly regarded. The Palace is his first novel.
