Jennifer Marie Kent (1961-) was born in Phenix City, Alabama. Phenix City in those years was recovering from the worst time in its history. Grew up in a small house on the Northside of town where life was slower for many years.

I enjoy writing realistic fiction. It is a well-known fact that you write what you know. “The Decision of A Loving Son” deals with the hardest and loneliest part of my life. My book is based on my childhood. At 13 I was forbidden from seeing the one person I wanted more than words will ever be able to explain. If what I experienced from the times I was 9 until I was 21 can help one person I have accomplished what I set out to do. I want everyone to know they are not alone it happens more than people think. Always remember it is not your fault, and everyone has a right to love whom they want.

I have had a couple of reviews sent to me about this book. They are as follows.

Wow. I’m ready for the sequel. Taylor’s death had to be faked so that he can come back for him and Tempy to live happily ever after.

It was interesting to read. What a tragedy that Taylor and Tempy could not openly live out their true love!

Those few parts rated R were certainly attention-grabbing.

The characters seemed real and relatable.

It is quite a story. I did like the story. Some of the characters seem to be unnecessary, but overall it is a good read.
