Judy L. Heinemann’s official website is now live

A new website has been released for Judy L. Heinemann’s published book “Do Cats Imagine?” The website provides the author’s biographical information as well as details on how and where to purchase her books.

Judy L. Heinemann recently retired from her 30-year career working with children, youth and families specializing in those in the foster care system. She continues her work in a small private counseling practice in Anacortes, Washington. Judy has often said being a mother was her favorite job, and she is now enjoying being a grandmother of two, while petting her own kitty, Rocky.

With a warm heart and a career dedicated to serving children and families, especially those in the foster care system, Judy has spent over three decades helping others navigate difficult seasons of life with compassion and grace. She brings that same thoughtful presence into her writing, drawing inspiration from her personal life, her professional work, and the natural world around her.

Now based in Anacortes, Washington, Judy works privately as a counselor and enjoys the slower pace of a life surrounded by books, nature, and animals. She has long believed in the power of curiosity to heal and uplift the human spirit. Though she has worn many hats – educator, counselor, mother, and now grandmother – Judy says some of her most cherished moments have been shared in the company of her grandchildren and her beloved cat, Rocky. These quiet, joyful moments have often sparked the playful questions and reflections that form the heart of her writing.

Judy L. Heinemann’s book, “Do Cats Imagine,” conveys the idea that perhaps cats use imagination when doing the funny things cats do every day. It encourages young children to use their own imagination as they consider how cats might see their own world while jumping, grooming, climbing, stretching, or skittering about their environment.

It’s a reminder that imagination is not bound by age, that wonder can be found in a sunbeam or a twitching tail, and that even the most ordinary of creatures might be carrying entire worlds inside them. Judy L. Heinemann’s thoughtful storytelling helps us all slow down, ask more curious questions, and rediscover the joy of dreaming wide awake.
