Every great book begins with an idea, but every memorable reading journey begins with the opportunity to discover it. That is exactly what makes the Hong Kong Book Fair 2026 such a remarkable event. Bringing together readers, authors, publishers, educators, and literary professionals from around the world, the fair has become one of Asia’s premier celebrations of literature and publishing. More than an exhibition of books, it is a place where stories cross borders, ideas spark meaningful conversations, and new voices find readers eager to turn the very first page.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), this year’s fair takes place from July 15–21, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) under the inspiring theme, “Cultural Legacy | Joyful Journeys.” Alongside an impressive lineup of internationally renowned authors, cultural seminars, exhibitions, and interactive programs, the event continues to promote reading as a gateway to discovering different cultures and perspectives.
As the publishing industry continues to evolve, international book fairs remain essential spaces where creativity and collaboration meet. They provide authors with opportunities to introduce their work to wider audiences, while giving readers access to an extraordinary range of books that reflect diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences. Whether you’re searching for an inspiring memoir, a compelling novel, an educational resource, or a beautifully illustrated children’s book, the Hong Kong Book Fair offers countless opportunities to discover stories that inform, entertain, and inspire.
For Citi of Books, participating in the Hong Kong Book Fair is more than showcasing publications on an international stage. It reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting authors throughout their publishing journey and connecting their work with readers across the globe. Every title displayed at our exhibit represents countless hours of creativity, dedication, and passion. We believe every author has a story worth sharing, and every reader deserves the opportunity to discover a book that leaves a lasting impression.
Among the titles proudly featured by Citi of Books this year is “The Weaning: From Milk to Meat From kingdom of God to Kingdom of Heaven” by Robert Bippert. This remarkable work exemplifies the diversity of voices that define our growing collection, offering readers a unique perspective through engaging storytelling, thoughtful insights, and a message that resonates beyond its final chapter. We are delighted to introduce this title to the international audience attending the Hong Kong Book Fair and invite visitors to experience the author’s work firsthand.
Bob Bippert is a Christian author and lifelong student of Scripture whose spiritual journey began in the Lutheran church before leading him to an extensive personal study of the Bible. As a teenager, he began reading the New Testament independently and found questions that inspired him to investigate different Christian traditions and deepen his understanding of biblical teaching. His pursuit of truth eventually led him to evangelical churches, where he embraced a renewed Christian faith and later received what he describes as the guidance of the Holy Spirit in his continuing study of Scripture.
Although he attended International Bible College in San Antonio, Bippert ultimately describes himself as largely self-taught through decades of dedicated biblical study. His passion for Scripture and desire to help fellow believers mature spiritually inspired him to write The Weaning. Through his writing, he seeks to encourage Christians to pursue deeper knowledge of God’s Word while preparing themselves to fulfill God’s purposes with faithfulness and wisdom.
“The Weaning: From Milk to Meat—From Kingdom of God to Kingdom of Heaven” by Bob Bippert is a comprehensive Christian study that challenges believers to move beyond the foundational principles of faith and pursue greater spiritual maturity. Drawing its central metaphor from the biblical concept of progressing from “milk” to “solid food” found in Hebrews 5 and 1 Corinthians 3, the book encourages Christians to deepen their understanding of God’s Word and prepare themselves for faithful service in the days ahead. Rather than remaining satisfied with elementary biblical teachings, Bippert invites readers to cultivate a mature faith capable of discerning God’s purposes and living according to His will.
Throughout the book, the author examines the distinction between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven, presenting this biblical theme as an important key to understanding God’s redemptive plan. Combining Scripture, personal testimony, and theological reflection, Bippert seeks to equip believers with practical spiritual insights that strengthen their relationship with Christ and prepare them for a life of faithful discipleship. The book is intended for readers who desire to move beyond basic biblical knowledge and develop a more mature understanding of God’s kingdom and His calling upon their lives.
The book is particularly valuable for Christians who desire to strengthen their understanding of biblical doctrine and prepare themselves for faithful service. By encouraging readers to grow in wisdom, discernment, and obedience, Bippert presents a message that is both practical and timeless. Whether used for personal devotion or group study, “The Weaning: From Milk to Meat—From Kingdom of God to Kingdom of Heaven” offers thoughtful guidance for believers seeking to advance from spiritual infancy to mature discipleship.
