When it comes to providing information to the public or introducing a brand, a radio interview is one of the best mediums to use. That is why, in cooperation with CBS Radio’s host Benji Cole and Citi of Books publishing, the inspiring and amazing stories behind every author’s work will be heard.
Benji Cole of CBS Radio interviewed the author of the children’s book “The Sound of Animals,” Mark Mullens. The message of the book and its inspiration were shared and discussed during the interview.
The author, Mark A. Mullens, is a US Army veteran, Christian, and instrumental music BMI recording artist who now adds writing to his list of accomplishments. He enjoys writing for children and encouraging others to learn about God.
He is married to his wife Sheila and has two wonderful daughters and four grandchildren. Mark grew up on a small farm in West Virginia and has traveled quite extensively. He loves learning all he can about other cultures and meeting new people.
Mark was inspired by spending quality time with his grandchildren to write “The Sound of Animals.” It was written in a way to explore the sounds that animals make through the eyes of a little boy.
The book reminds us that for every complex problem that we think we cannot handle ourselves, we must surrender it to God, for He is our Creator and only He can understand how to fix it. Only God, the Creator, could have thought of every precise detail that contributes to our uniqueness.
“The Sound of Animals,” tells the story of a little kid named Austin who one morning discovers that all of the animals on his farm have changed their normal sounds. Austin discovers after further research that the change sounds like something that the Creator, God, might comprehend. The next morning, when Austin awoke to see that the animal noises had returned to normal, the enigma was clear.
