Check out this wonderful review of the book by Patsy Butler, featured below:
The author was born in England of Jamaican migrant parents but, though primarily based in the UK, he has spent considerable portions of his life in Jamaica.
The book’s fictional storyline covers a series of senseless and violent incidents in Acia Maj (we can figure out that anagram, can’t we?) that have shaken the fun-loving and friendly Caribbean island to its core. “The future of the island is in balance…Can daydreamers save the future of Acia Maj?” BTW, I advise that, as preparation for reading the book, it may be useful for you to review its underlying theme of Dreams and their Interpretation as outlined in Genesis 40 – 41, particularly Genesis 40:8.
I must also warn you that the book is quite long (336 pages), but the writing is excellent – particularly the realistic dialogue interchanges. However, I am still trying to mentally process my bottom-line ‘take away’ from what I have already found to be the writer’s subtle, but profound, treatment of the ever-recurring human obsession for power and wealth acquisition that, ultimately, always results in repetitive disaster cycles. If you can get hold of a copy of this book, do let me know what you think of it!
I will also definitely undertake to have the books loaned by you to me ready for your retrieval this coming Saturday, so that you will have them in hand for your imminent return to Toronto.
Best regards,
