2 Days to Go: The Countdown to Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026 Continues

Only two days remain before Frankfurt fills with the energy of publishers, authors, literary professionals, and book lovers arriving for Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026. From October 7 to 11, the fairgrounds will become a place for meetings, literary events, rights conversations, cultural exchange, and discussions about the many directions in which the publishing industry is moving.

One of the highlights of this year’s edition will be Czechia as Guest of Honour, with 75 authors scheduled to travel to Frankfurt as part of the country’s presentation. Its programme will showcase Czech literature and culture through more than 100 literary and cultural events, offering visitors opportunities to discover writers and creative works from across the country.

For Citi of Books, the upcoming fair represents another opportunity to bring authors and their books into an international publishing environment. The connections made at events such as Frankfurt can lead to conversations about translation, rights, distribution, partnerships, and other ways books can reach readers in different markets.

Frankfurter Buchmesse will also feature a renewed hall layout for 2026, with changes designed to make professional meetings more focused and improve networking between exhibitors and visitors. Alongside the exhibition areas, the fair will continue to bring together different parts of the creative industries, including publishing, audio, film, games, and other forms of content.
