Vietnam Veteran Robert Ackerman was Director of the Pennington County Drug and Alcohol Task Force, Director of the Meade Street Halfway House, Director of the Western South Dakota Referees Association, Director of Keystone Ambulance Service, Director of the West Dakota Water Development Association. He was a Rockerville, SD Volunteer Fireman for seven years. He coached a soccer team to win the Dakota State Soccer Tournament. He hung clothes at the Salvation Army, and he has researched climate change for 30 years.
