We’re beyond thrilled to share that this book is officially being showcased at the 2026 London Book Fair, one of the world’s most exciting meeting places for stories, ideas, and publishing dreams. From buzzing aisles to curious readers and industry tastemakers, this is where books step into the global spotlight—and this one is ready to shine.

Having “The Choice” by Jessica Sarabia displayed by Citi of Books in London feels like a celebration of every page and dream poured into its creation. It’s more than a milestone; it’s a moment of joy, pride, and possibility.

Jessica Y. Sarabia has lived in New Mexico her entire life. Born and raised in Las Cruces until the age of twelve, she later moved to Rio Rancho, where she currently resides. She is a student at the University of New Mexico, pursuing a degree in biological anthropology and following a pre-med track as she prepares for a future in medicine.

What would you choose if your life could save millions—but cost you everything? That question lingered in the air as “The Choice” by Jessica Y. Sarabia found its spotlight during the London Book Fair 2026. Among the many titles showcased, this novel quietly drew readers in with its emotional weight and thought-provoking premise. It wasn’t just another book on display, it was a conversation starter, one that invited visitors to pause, reflect, and imagine themselves in Eva’s place.

At the heart of the story is Eva, or simply E, a young woman living with a rare degenerative condition that has shaped every part of her life. Despite the odds, she held onto her dream of becoming a doctor, inspired by her mentor, Dr. Steinberg. Readers at the fair were especially drawn to this mix of vulnerability and determination. Eva’s journey felt real and deeply human, making it easy for anyone flipping through the pages to connect with her struggles and quiet strength.

Things took a gripping turn when Dr. Reinhardt entered the picture, bringing with him a possibility that changed everything. Eva’s condition was no longer just a personal battle. It could be the key to groundbreaking medical advancements, including curing cancer. This twist sparked a wave of curiosity among fairgoers, as the story shifted from personal resilience to a much bigger ethical dilemma. The idea of sacrificing one’s own freedom for the greater good gave the book a weight that stayed with readers long after they stepped away from the booth.

What made The Choice stand out during the event was how it balanced emotional storytelling with big, philosophical questions. It explored themes of purpose, sacrifice, and the value of a single life in a way that felt both intimate and expansive. For visitors of the London Book Fair, it wasn’t just a story they discovered, it was one they carried with them. For anyone who loves character-driven narratives with a touch of moral complexity, this book proved to be a memorable and compelling find.
