“Alisa in Washerland” (Korean Edition) by Marian Flores is now available for purchase

Citi of Books is delighted to announce the publication of the book “Alisa in Washerland” (Korean Edition) by Marian Flores. This child’s story is also available in Spanish edition, “Alisa en el Pais del Lavavajillas,” English, Chinese, and Japanese edition. All editions are now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retail sites.

Author and illustrator, Marian Flores has spent her life living in small Connecticut towns. She is married and has a son and an elderly cat. She attended Paier School of Art, where she earned a certificate in Advertising and Commercial Art and later Central Connecticut State University, where she was inspired to write this book. Currently, she is an art teacher at a private special needs school. She greatly enjoys her students who are children on the autism spectrum with multiple disabilities.

“Alisa in Washerland” is a contemporary twist and plays on words with the classic book, Alice in Wonderland, inspired by the author’s dislike for washing dishes as a child, and her nieces’ disdain for putting dishes into the dishwasher. When Marian’s sister had a dream that she was living in the dishwasher, she found a way to combine all these things into this whimsical fable.

This story is focused on a ten-year-old girl, Alisa, who dislikes doing the dishes and wishes never to do the dishes again. After wishing, she shrank in size and was pulled into an enchanted world inside the dishwasher, where she encountered mysterious creatures cleaning the dishes. Alisa missed her family and friends and wished to return to the real world. From there, she promised to never complain about doing dishes again.

“이 책은 최고의 이야기들이 그렇듯, 평범한 것들을 이전에 경험해보지 못한방식으로 보게 해준다.”

The book does what the best stories do; makes you see ordinary things in a way you never had before.”
