Every year, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books becomes livelier and brighter due to the growing number of attendees. From book lovers, casual readers, and literary collectors to authors and publishers, people gathered to celebrate literacy.

The largest book festival in the US opened its doors last April for a glamorous two-day weekend celebration with the bookworms. Held at the University of Southern California, many book enthusiasts, book lovers, and book collectors, as well as writers, established authors, and many more, attended the free event.

A lot of bookfair-goers went by the Citi of Books booth to check for their next read and potential favorite book. One of the books that were chosen is “…God’s Still Calling…: Finding GOD’s FINGERPRINTS” by James R. Needham. It was displayed on April 20th and 21st at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California.

“…God’s Still Calling…: Finding GOD’s FINGERPRINTS” tells the story of Jim Needham, a 79-year-old man prompted by his grandchildren to share his life experiences. From working on The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross to involvement with President Nixon’s projects, Jim’s life has been rich and varied.

The book chronicles not just his professional accomplishments but also his often-adventurous personal journey. From childhood pranks and close calls to a cave-in incident, Jim describes his experiences with both humor and honesty.

Woven throughout this tapestry is a recurring theme: Jim’s evolving faith. The book explores his doubts and wanderings, ultimately leading him back to a committed Christian life. Jim has served in various church and community roles, and he finds evidence of God’s presence everywhere he looks. This heartwarming memoir promises to be an unforgettable and inspiring read.
