Born in Kershaw and raised in Camden, South Carolina, I was raised by the late Joel P. and
Alma Huggins Felder. I am married to Linda Shirley. I enjoy history and genealogy and children.
Now, I’m going to write books for children. It’s important for them to understand the town and
area they live. Growing up, I was in the band, manager of the high school basketball team for
four years, and have many friends from high school. I’ve worked in hardware, taught school
for a couple of years, and substituted in schools in Richland County I and Kershaw County.
