Patricia Seward Graham, a graduate of North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She also has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Graham was married for forty-eight years to Meredith Graham Jr., with whom she shares one daughter.
