Lisa Woomer attended the University of Southern California where she earned a degree in Psychology with an emphasis in child development. She then went on to earn her teaching credential and taught fourth and second grade in the Los Angeles Unified School District. After having her first child, Lisa decided to become a stay-at-home mom. After the birth of her third child, she went back into the education field and became the co-director of a preschool for several years. While serving as co-director, she stumbled upon the Nurtured Heart Approach and became a certified Nurtured Heart Approach trainer. She now teaches workshops to parents and educators on NHA and lives in Southern California with her Husband, kids, and two little dogs.
