Julian Phillips is an award-winning journalist, motivational speaker, media consultant, and celebrity chef. He recently served as Deputy Commissioner and Chief Spokesperson for the New York City Police Department. With a diverse media career spanning local and national television and radio, Julian has worked as a reporter, anchor, and talk show host. He co-owned and served as Executive Chef at The Sound Bite, a unique Cajun, Southern, and Italian fusion restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, known for its jazz and blues entertainment. A three-time Emmy Award winner and recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award, Julian is also the creator of the PBS project “Eat & Argue,” which aims to foster dialogue between people with opposing views over a meal. He resides in Florida with his wife, acclaimed jazz vocalist Barbara King.
