With its gentle affirmations and uplifting tone, the book becomes more than just a story—it becomes a mirror for children to see themselves as beautiful, unique, and divinely created. Illustrated with themes of friendship, family, faith, and fun, Who Am I? is a celebration of childhood in its purest and most empowering form.

Ms. Freddrica Nicholas is a licensed ordained Evangelist and the director of Jesus First Anointed Daycare, the source from which she pulled her inspiration to write this book. She has five adopted children and enjoys playing the piano, singing, and imparting good into the lives of children.

“Who Am I?”  is a deeply personal project written in memory of Destiny Nicholas, who passed away in 2019. Through her writing, Freddrica captures the spirit of her daughter—bright, curious, full of love—and honors her legacy by encouraging children everywhere to embrace who they are. Her mission is not only to share Destiny’s voice with the world but also to uplift young readers with messages of self-worth, faith, and joy.

In this delightful book for children, a nine-year-old adopted girl searches for her identity. With the love of her family and through her faith in God, Destiny discovers who she is, and that God has created us all just as he wanted us to be. Join Destiny on her journey. Perhaps you, too, will find your own identity.

It teaches children that they are worthy, cherished, and capable of joy simply because of who they are. The book highlights the beauty of diversity through friendships that cross racial and physical boundaries, modeling inclusion and kindness in everyday life. It also emphasizes the importance of family and moments of togetherness as essential to a child’s sense of belonging.

“Who Am I?” by Freddrica Nicholas is more than just a children’s book—it is a heartwarming experience that resonates with readers of all ages. It affirms the dignity of every child and encourages them to celebrate their individuality with pride. Parents, educators, and caregivers will find it a valuable resource for sparking conversations about identity, diversity, and faith. Its poetic flow and warm tone make it ideal for bedtime stories, classroom reading, or family devotionals.
