The book fair where creativity meets the future, London Book Fair, opened its doors last March 11-13, 2025, in Olympia, London. Drawing around 30,000 attendees, this year’s London Book Fair showcased the vibrant world of publishing and creative content, marking a significant milestone in the industry. The fair not only maintained its impressive attendance figures but also celebrated a 10-percent boost in rights-center table sales compared to 2024.
Citi of Books is proud to have been part of this prestigious event, representing the incredible works of our talented authors in stand 7B94. In our assigned booth, a range of books—from fiction to nonfiction—would be on exhibit. A book included in the gallery was “To Then and Back Again: A Memoir Part One A Collection of Uh-Oh’s, No No’s and A Few OMG’S” by Jerry Bryson McMillan.
Jerry Bryson McMillan, a mid-forties man, has been writing his story for over ten years. His intentions have shifted from telling his mother’s story to telling his own story. McMillan believes that his writing has become therapeutic and liberating, as it allows him to walk in another’s shoes and see the world through another’s eyes. His original writings were dark and sophomoric, but he now believes that the writing experience has served its purpose.
McMillan believes that he unintentionally freed himself from the chaos he wanted to write about and felt the writing experience had served its purpose. He believes that his story has something to say to everyone. He believes that the writing bug has bitten again, and he is now paying attention to his story.
“To Then and Back Again: A Memoir Part One A Collection of Uh-Oh’s, No No’s and A Few OMG’S” by Jerry Bryson McMillan is a memoir exploring the real-life experiences of the author with broader historical events, reflecting on the events that have shaped his life. This memoir covers overcoming loneliness, hidden struggles, and journey to self-discovery.
The book invites its readers to experience these poignant moments firsthand, experiencing the highs and lows of life, including dealing with loneliness, loss, and unexpected challenges. Jerry’s hope aims to inspire the readers to not only relate to his story but to imagine themselves in his experiences as their own.
