Kathy Zuziak has been in music ministry for many years, serving in both denominational and non-denominational churches. She has taught numerous bible studies, both informally and as a licensed minister. She has led worship for both adults and children, and has published Christian worship songs, record internationally. She currently lives in Florida. Her desire is to make the Word of God accessible and understandable to everyone. 

“The King’s Robe” is an allegorical story that presents the Gospel message in a simple and straightforward manner. It was originally written as a musical play, with characters representing central figures in Christian theology. The King symbolizes Jesus Christ, the Man represents Adam and humanity, and the wicked servant portrays the devil.

The allegory emphasizes that the Gospel is the story of a rescue mission. Humanity, represented by Adam, fell into sin by obeying the devil rather than God. Some people seem to try to make the Gospel complicated, but it is simply the story of rescue from the trouble Adam handed down. The narrator of the story is called the Law (Old Testament) up until the time of Christ’s resurrection. , at which point the narrator becomes Grace (New Testament).

By Adam’s eating of the forbidden fruit—brought death, both spiritual and physical, into the world. Spiritual death meant separation from God, and physical death followed later. Adam’s sin passed down to all his descendants, leaving mankind in need of a Savior. Although individuals may not feel like they need rescue, the story stresses that humanity is in danger due to Adam’s sin. All humans are descendants of Adam, and thus inherit his fallen nature and its consequences, including the corruption of the body and eventual death.

Overall, the central message of this book aims to convey is that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to save humanity from the judgment brought by sin. The allegory illustrates that Jesus, as King, is dedicated to rescuing mankind from this predicament and desires a relationship with every person, even those who may not realize their need for salvation. Christ’s believers can be clothed in spiritual protection and eternal life.
