Ilah Rose Sharp (Davis) is a devoted mother, grandmother, Transit Security Curator, and the author of the poignant book “The Gift.” Her passion for writing ignited at the tender age of 10, serving as a creative outlet to cope with the profound grief of losing her mother. Her journey began with an essay titled “My Most Prized Possession,” where she beautifully captured cherished memories and adventures shared with her mother. As she transitioned into young adulthood, Ilah’s writing evolved into poetry, inspired by literary greats like Edgar Allan Poe and Shakespeare. In the early 2000s, she showcased her poetry on the platform Poetry.com, further honing her craft. After becoming a mother to two children, she ventured into writing children’s books, creating stories that delighted her kids, even if her first manuscript remained unpublished.

Ilah’s writing took on a new purpose when her husband fell ill, prompting her to pour her emotions into “The Gift” to help with his medical expenses. Tragically, he passed away before the book could be published, adding a layer of poignancy to her work. Following this loss, Ilah returned to her birthplace in Washington State, where she now resides in SeaTac with her two beloved dogs.
