Citi of Books is proud to have been part of this prestigious event, representing the incredible works of our talented authors in stand 7B94.  In our assigned booth, a range of books—from fiction to nonfiction—would be on exhibit. A book included in the gallery was “Taking Anger Seriously: A Divine Answer for Human Anger (An Expanded & Updated Bible Study)” by George Quin.

George Quin is a pastor, Bible teacher, and has dedicated 13 years of ministry to incarcerated men in jails and prisons. His ministry, Taking Anger Seriously, has been based on hundreds of testimonies, proving the need for real change in the hearts and minds of offenders.

He retired after 29 years at Frito-Lay North America Inc. and now serves as Community Care Pastor at Midway Church and on the Board of Directors at Denton Freedom House, a Christ-centered home for men and women with addictions.

Taking Anger Seriously: A Divine Answer for Human Anger (An Expanded & Updated Bible Study)” by George Quin is a compelling examination of anger, reflected by the author’s shortcomings but has come through to the other side with wisdom and grace. This book offers a new perspective with divine guidance that will surely have a positive effect on your life.

Nowadays, anger or wrath has become a prevalent and visible emotion. In today’s fast-paced world, people are more exposed to stress and frustration and intensify feelings of helplessness and irritability. Anger itself is a natural human emotion, yet the ways it is expressed and consumed today can escalate conflicts.

Across the narrative, the author presented a set of logical analysis on God’s pure and justified anger and analyzing that against our anger. This book is divided into fifteen chapters, making sure to discuss certain kinds of anger and specific gospel-centered approach to them. It started with God’s wrath, which the author called “the point of reference” for our anger.
