Marie Carolyn Perry lives in Naples, Florida, with her husband, Jimmie L. Perry, and their two sons, Jimmy L. Perry II and Jason L. Perry. Carolyn Perry, as she is commonly referred to, is a retired elementary school teacher at the Collier County School System in Naples, Florida.
Carolyn Perry has always wanted to share the beauty and ease of celebrating and accepting differences. Throughout her teaching career, she has had the honor of observing children as they interact with each other. It is because of these observations and the personal experiences of her two sons that she has started to share stories.
Children are inspired by the book “One of a Kind” to embrace and value the uniqueness of others. The title serves as a nice reminder of its uniqueness. This narrative celebrates uniqueness while highlighting the “universal language” of humanity. It’s amazing how effective facial expressions are at conveying meaning. “Silence speaks louder than words” occasionally.
