“Just Call Me Gatsby” by Gary Goldstick is now available for purchase

“Just Call Me Gatsby” by Gary Goldstick is more than a financial thriller—it’s a sophisticated exploration of ambition, risk and identity. Gary Goldstick’s deep business background gives the plot authenticity, while the narrative keeps the pace thrilling. If you’re drawn to novels where greed meets consequence, image meets integrity and high finance meets human fragility, this book is a strong choice. Proudly published by Citi of Books, this is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other major retail platforms.

Gary Goldstick grew up in Philadelphia and pursued a strong educational foundation in engineering and business. He earned a BA and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an MS in Computer Engineering from UCLA. Early in his career, he worked in computer design for several aerospace companies and founded his own firm in the field.

After obtaining an MBA from Pepperdine University, Goldstick embarked on a 35-year career as a certified management consultant. During this time, he advised, turned around, sold, or liquidated over 300 businesses, bringing decades of real-world experience to his work.

Goldstick is also an accomplished author. He has written nonfiction business books, including Business Rx: How to Get in the Black and Stay There (published by John Wiley & Sons) and Romancing the Business Loan: Getting Your Banker to Say “Yes” in the 90s (published by Lexington Books). His first novel, Saving the Karamazov’s, was published in 2011. He leverages his extensive business background to infuse authenticity into his fiction. Goldstick resides in Little Rock, Arkansas, with Sadie, his 26-pound labradoodle.

From the very first pages of “Just Call Me Gatsby,” Gary Goldstick drops readers into a world where deals are made over drinks, trust is currency, and charm can be more dangerous than dishonesty. Gatsby is the kind of character you can’t look away from—smart, persuasive, and always one step ahead… or so he thinks.

What makes this book so gripping is how real it feels. The business conversations are sharp, the relationships are messy, and the tension builds slowly but relentlessly. You see how one risky decision leads to another, how small compromises add up, and how people convince themselves they’re still doing the “right thing.” It’s not just about money—it’s about pride, image, and the need to win.

The target audience of the book includes readers who enjoy financial thrillers, character-driven dramas, and stories about ambition and consequence. It’s especially compelling for professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone curious about what really happens behind closed doors in high-level business environments. Even if you’re not in finance, the human struggles—trust, temptation, loyalty, and fear—are universal.

At its core, the moral lesson of “Just Call Me Gatsby” mirrors a real-life experience many of us recognize: confidence without accountability can lead us straight into trouble. We’ve all seen—or been—the person who believed things would “work out” without fully facing the risks. This book is a powerful reminder that charm can open doors, but integrity is what keeps them open. If you’re looking for a smart, dramatic read that makes you think long after the last page, this one is worth adding to your shelf.

The promotional services offered by Citi of Books seem like a great way for authors to get their work the attention it deserves. I’m curious, does the company also help with building long-term author brands, or is the focus mostly on the book launch itself?
