“Grounded in Chaos: Leaning into Adversity, Learning Joy” by Lisa Nezneski was displayed at The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California

Every year, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books becomes livelier and brighter due to the growing number of attendees. From book lovers, casual readers, and literary collectors to authors and publishers, people gathered to celebrate literacy.

The largest book festival in the US opened its doors last April for a glamorous two-day weekend celebration with the bookworms. Held at the University of Southern California, many book enthusiasts, book lovers, and book collectors, as well as writers, established authors, and many more, attended the free event.

A lot of bookfair-goers went by the Citi of Books booth to check for their next read and potential favorite book. One of the books that were chosen is “Grounded in Chaos: Leaning into Adversity, Learning Joy” by Lisa Nezneski. It was displayed on April 20th and 21st at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California.

Lisa Nezneski, a Pharm.D., BCPS, is a well-regarded figure in Integrative Medicine, blending conventional medicine, meditation, and alternative therapies for overall well-being. With over thirty years of experience in roles such as clinical pharmacist, hospital administrator, and healthcare consultant, she advocates for a comprehensive approach to health.

As a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and expert in Botanical Medicine, Nezneski highlights the interconnectedness of medication and meditation in her practice. She has contributed articles to esteemed publications like the American Journal of Hospital Pharmacy and holds certifications from renowned institutions such as Harvard Business School and the University of Western States. Presently, she is the proprietor of Healthy Mindful Self, an integrative medicine enterprise that promotes the safe fusion of medication and natural supplements.
