“Fun Times in Rhyme” by Linda Shue was displayed at the 2025 London Book Fair– Book Gallery

The book fair where creativity meets the future, London Book Fair, opened its doors last March 11-13, 2025, in Olympia, London. Drawing around 30,000 attendees, this year’s London Book Fair showcased the vibrant world of publishing and creative content, marking a significant milestone in the industry.   The fair not only maintained its impressive attendance figures but also celebrated a 10-percent boost in rights-center table sales compared to 2024.

Citi of Books is proud to have been part of this prestigious event, representing the incredible works of our talented authors in stand 7B94.  In our assigned booth, a range of books—from fiction to nonfiction—would be on exhibit. A book included in the gallery was “Fun Times in Rhyme” by Linda Shue.

“Fun Times in Rhyme” is a charming collection of poems that captures the essence of growing up in a small Midwestern village during the 1950s. Through vivid imagery, the author evokes memories of a simpler time spent surrounded by farmland and the nearby Killbuck Creek, where childhood adventures and friendships flourished. Each poem serves as a nostalgic reminder of carefree days, celebrating the beauty of nature and the strong bonds of community.

Adding a playful twist to the collection, the two whimsical poems, “What a Ride” and “Trick or Treat Time,” bring laughter and joy to the forefront. These lighthearted pieces contrast beautifully with the more reflective themes, reminding readers of the excitement and innocence of childhood experiences.

The author also weaves stories from their life as parents and grandparents, showcasing the continuity of love and connection across generations. “Fun Times in Rhyme” is not just a nostalgic journey; it’s a heartfelt tribute to family, community, and the timeless joys that unite us all. Through these verses, readers are invited to reminisce about their own childhoods while celebrating the enduring spirit of family life.
