Citi of Books at Frankfurt International Book Fair 2025

This October, Citi of Books will join publishers, authors, and readers from around the world at the Frankfurt International Book Fair. It’s one of the biggest gatherings in the publishing world, and we’re looking forward to being part of it.

The fair has always been more than rows of books and booths. It’s where ideas cross borders, where new voices are discovered, and where stories remind us how connected we all are.

For 2025, the Philippines will step into the spotlight as Guest of Honour with the theme “The imagination peoples the air.” This is a chance for the world to see the depth of Filipino creativity—stories born from a country of more than 7,000 islands and countless traditions.

Citi of Books will bring a collection of titles that reflect the heart of what we do: memoirs that move, children’s stories that inspire, poetry that speaks, and novels that spark the imagination. Each book represents an author with something important to share, and Frankfurt is the perfect place to share it.

We’re excited to meet readers, connect with industry partners, and give our authors a stage at this global event. The countdown has begun, and we can’t wait to see what new opportunities and friendships will come from Frankfurt 2025.

Philippines Shines as Guest of Honor in Frankfurt

The Philippines takes center stage at the Frankfurt International Book Fair as this year’s Guest of Honor, marking a historic moment for the nation’s literary and cultural landscape. With its theme “Mabuhay! Beyond Pages,” the country showcases the richness of its storytelling traditions, blending the voices of its indigenous heritage, contemporary writers, and the dynamic Filipino diaspora.

This honor places the Philippines on the global stage, inviting publishers, readers, and industry leaders to discover its diverse narrative tales shaped by history, resilience, and a deep sense of community. Visitors to the Philippine Pavilion experience not only books, but also music, art, and cuisine, capturing the vibrancy of a culture that bridges the traditional and the modern.

More than a celebration of literature, the Philippines’ presence in Frankfurt highlights the nation’s vision: to share its stories with the world, amplify Filipino voices in global publishing, and foster lasting connections that go beyond borders.
