Madeleine Templeton was featured in an interview with Benji Cole of CBS Radio for her book “Understanding Socialism.” They talked about her book’s theme and inspiration during the interview.

Madeleine “Kitty” Templeton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA, and has lived in Washington, DC, most of her life. After witnessing politics and protests in Estonia, the former Soviet Union, in 1990 and from an extensive study of Russian history, Madeleine has gained a unique perspective on socialism and communism.

Living in the nation’s capital and witnessing the national and local politics of Washington, DC, Kitty has learned a thing or two about America. As the daughter of Pat Templeton, a conservative political consultant, growing up, she has met several influential Republicans, including Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole, and Tom Ridge, and has finally come to understand the conservative perspective, this philosophy, the true principles of standing up for your freedom, and the dangers of socialism creeping into America. Kitty Templeton is also a singer/songwriter and poet in the Washington, DC, community.

“Understanding Socialism” is a book that was written for the author’s niece to help her understand the dangers of socialism and how it can impact your life as an American. What freedom is and how to best utilize the free enterprise system America has to offer.

The book is written from the perspective of Aunt Kitty. With the integration of historical figures and events with contemporary happenings. This book might be enjoyable for everyone.
