S. Alexander Riley, a seasoned professional in criminal justice, psychology, and addiction counseling, brings decades of firsthand experience to his writing. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Riley began his career as a Criminal Defense Investigator for the Milwaukee Public Defenders Office before spending ten years with the San Diego Superior Court. He holds a master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology with a minor in Alcohol and Drugs, and pursued doctoral studies at San Diego University of Integral Studies. His professional path has included work as a Dual Diagnosis Counselor and Alcohol and Drug Treatment Coordinator, as well as teaching positions at National University, WestMed College, and the Medical Career College of Fremont. Today, he continues to educate and serve as a Special Education Technician for San Diego City Schools.
