Having “Gigi and the Little Ones: The Early Years” by Jerri R. Greene displayed by Citi of Books in London feels like a celebration of every page and dream poured into its creation. It’s more than a milestone; it’s a moment of joy, pride, and possibility.
American writer Jerri R. Greene, born November 29, 1958, is the creator of Gigi and the Little Ones series. Greene attended (1977-2000) Northeaster Junior College, in Sterling, CO where she attained multiple Associate Degrees and Certificates. She studied Business and Computer Technology at Colorado State University (B.A., 1997) and, after graduating, went on to work for the Department of Energy at Western Area Power Administration writing computer software. Greene reported that she went to the local McDonalds when she began to write Gigi and the Little Ones. She has said, “My life got so difficult that writing was the only thing that helped me survive all the death and personal attacks.”
In 2009, Greene moved to Parker, CO, where she was working as law enforcement as a correctional officer at Denver Women’s Correctional Facility. She married Kenneth D. Greene, with whom she had two daughters and two sons. She lived in Parker, CO when she finished the first Gigi and the Little Ones book, The Early Year’s. The book was published by Xlibris Publishing beginning in 2014.
Greene is currently finishing the second book of Gigi and the Little Ones, The Rite of Passage. The first book in the series was mainly illustrated by Anson C. Devereux with some drawing by the author.
“Gigi and the Little Ones: The Early Years” by Jerri R. Greene, a charming fantasy story that was featured at the 2026 London Book Fair. The book follows a young Irish girl named Gigi who once thought her grandfather’s tales about fairies were simply playful stories. As her journey unfolds, she discovers something extraordinary. The magical creatures her grandfather talked about may actually be real.
The story begins with curiosity and a little bit of doubt, something many readers can relate to. Gigi slowly realizes she can see fairies even when no one else around her notices them. This surprising gift leads her into a world full of wonder, adventure, and sometimes danger. Along the way she meets magical beings she once believed existed only in stories. Each encounter pushes her to grow braver, wiser, and more confident in herself.
The Early Year’s, the first book in the series, lays the foundation for Gigi’s magical path. Readers watch her face challenges not only from the mysterious creatures she meets, but also from people who don’t understand what she is experiencing. These moments help shape Gigi into a strong and independent young girl. By the end of the book, it’s clear that her story is only beginning and that even bigger adventures are waiting ahead.
Visitors exploring the 2026 London Book Fair definitely want to keep an eye out for this imaginative tale. “Gigi and the Little Ones: The Early Years” is perfect for readers who enjoy fantasy, folklore, and stories about courage and self-discovery. With the next installment, The Rite of Passage, set to arrive soon, now is the perfect time to step into Gigi’s magical world and see where her fairy-filled adventures begin.
