As the fair celebrates another successful year of bringing together the brightest minds in publishing, Citi of Books proudly joins the festivities at the 77th Frankfurter Buchmesse, showcasing inspiring titles from its talented authors. Among the featured works in the Book Gallery is “Miracles: Heaven Is at My Ceiling” by John J. Seiden—a book that reminds us that hope, faith, and divine wonder can be found even in the most unexpected places.

John J. Seiden pursued a double major in sociology and political science in college, driven by a deep interest in politics. His academic focus was aligned with his ambition to eventually run for U.S. Congress, a goal he realized in 1976 when he campaigned for Maryland’s 8th Congressional District. Although he did not win, the experience proved invaluable.
He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Seiden’s father worked for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and he himself attended the University of Washington, earning a Master of Arts degree. Before launching his Congressional campaign, Seiden built a diverse career in the U.S. government, including military service. His career has taken him across the globe, with travels to countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean.

“Miracles: Heaven Is At My Ceiling” recounts the author’s deeply personal and extraordinary encounters with God, angels, and ghosts. The book presents a series of genuine, unembellished real-life experiences. Drawing from his global travels—both through his work with the U.S. Government and private business—Seiden shares multiple physical and visual interactions with divine and supernatural beings. These moments have strengthened his love for God and His angels, while also fostering a respectful appreciation for ghosts.
Thanks to his photographic memory, Seiden vividly recalls these profound experiences from childhood to the present. He regards these divine encounters as miracles, treasures that hold great significance for him. Viewing his ability to remember these sacred moments in full detail as a special gift, he feels a strong desire to share them with others. His hope is that his stories will deepen readers’ awareness of God’s presence and affirm the reality of angels and spirits.
Throughout the narrative, Seiden highlights how these experiences have not only bolstered his faith but also revealed the vital role of God’s angels in everyday life. He explains that these encounters have shaped his worldview, reinforcing the belief that divine beings actively guide and protect humanity. Additionally, they have led him to honor the place of ghosts—spirits of the past—within the broader spiritual realm.
Seiden reflects on how his interactions with the divine and supernatural have broadened his understanding of life and death. He feels profoundly blessed by these experiences, viewing them as key milestones on his spiritual path. Motivated by these encounters, he shares his story as evidence of divine intervention and the existence of angels and spirits.
Ultimately, Seiden sees his life as a series of miracles made possible through his connection with God and His angels. He eagerly anticipates future spiritual experiences and feels privileged to have had such meaningful encounters. The book conveys a message of faith, hope, and gratitude for the unseen forces that guide and protect humanity across time. Seiden encourages readers to recognize the miraculous in their own lives and remain open to the possibility of divine contact.
