Los Angeles Times Festival of Books Recap: Kathy Zuziak’s Memorable Book Signing of “A Kingdom for Us: An Easy Bible Study for People Who Want to Know What’s Going On”

As the pages of history turn, we find ourselves reflecting on a remarkable milestone—the 30th Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the largest book festival in the United States, held on April 26-27, 2025. Set against the stunning backdrop of the University of Southern California campus, this annual celebration of literature brought together thousands of book lovers, authors, and industry professionals for a weekend brimming with literary magic.

Attracting around 150,000 attendees from Southern California and beyond, the festival was a testament to the enduring appeal of literature and the community it fosters. Each event, each conversation, and each shared moment contributed to a rich tapestry of experiences that celebrated the diverse voices and stories that shape our world.

In collaboration with Citi of Books, the author of “A Kingdom for Us: An Easy Bible Study for People Who Want to Know What’s Going On,” Kathy Zuziak, held a successful book signing event during the 2025 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

Kathy Zuziak has been in the music ministry for many years, serving in both denominational and non-denominational churches. She has taught numerous bible studies, both informally and as a licensed minister. She has led worship for both adults and children, and has published Christian worship songs, record internationally. She currently lives in Florida. Her desire is to make the Word of God accessible and understandable to everyone.

The Church is not a building but a living, breathing entity of a diverse group of people who make up what the Bible calls the body of Christ and share His words.

“A Kingdom for Us: An Easy Bible Study for People Who Want to Know What’s Going On” by Kathy Zuziak is a straightforward and accessible guide to understanding key concepts of the Bible.

It was written to answer questions that everybody has: Is there a devil, and what can he do? What is the big deal about praise and worship? What is baptism in the Holy Spirit, and do we need it? How do you get the kind of faith that produces miracles? Where are we in the timeline?

The book breaks into easy-to-understand sections, offering explanations, reflections, and practical applications. It is designed for individuals who may be new to Bible study or a non-religious person who wants a clearer understanding of Christian teachings. Those with a Christian background, think of this study as a chance to go back to the basics to fill in what has been missing. Jesus tells us that the kingdom is coming, and that the kingdom is within us. It encourages readers to explore their faith more deeply and provides insights into how biblical principles can be applied to everyday life.

In 1 Corinthians 3:1, Paul says, “Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.”
