Indrani Sircar is a freelance writer, artist, and photographer who left Canada to settle in Northern California. A passionate animal lover and animal rights activist, she moved to the U.S. to explore life among new people in a unique corner of the Bay Area, free from the constraints of assignments. Embracing a sense of adventure, she became a retail bookseller and developed a keen interest in the retail industry, all while maintaining her dedication to animal rescue.

Born to Indian parents, Indrani spent her early years in Southern India before moving to New York to complete her graduate studies. During her time in Canada, she and her spouse co-founded a communications company called Deadline Yesterday.

Over the past two decades in the Bay Area, Indrani has kept a journal of her interactions with fellow animal lovers and her experiences with her own pets. She has fostered and cared for numerous animals and continues to support efforts to help wildfire victims and feral cats.
