“To Love Again” by Lilliam Hernandez was displayed at The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California

Every year, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books becomes livelier and brighter due to the growing number of attendees. From book lovers, casual readers, and literary collectors to authors and publishers, people gathered to celebrate literacy.

The largest book festival in the US opened its doors last April for a glamorous two-day weekend celebration with the bookworms. Held at the University of Southern California, many book enthusiasts, book lovers, and book collectors, as well as writers, established authors, and many more, attended the free event.

A lot of bookfair-goers went by the Citi of Books booth to check for their next read and potential favorite book. One of the books that were chosen is “To Love Again” by Lilliam Hernandez. It was displayed on April 20th and 21st at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the University of Southern California.

Lilliam Hernandez, a native of Nicaragua, arrived in the United States in 1964. Married for 32 years, she has two sons and two grandchildren. Retired from Harris County, Texas, Lilliam enjoys playing piano and guitar, and she also writes poetry.

For many years, she harbored the desire to document her experiences as a new resident in this great country. Finally, she accomplished it with her book titled “Going to America.” Additionally, Lilliam has penned another book detailing her struggles after her first husband left her with a two-year-old child. This book, titled “To Love Again,” hopes it might offer solace and guidance to those undergoing similar challenges.

Excited about embarking on this new journey as an author, Lilliam eagerly anticipates sharing her stories with the world.

Marriage can be a beautiful thing. Likewise, it can sometimes bring sorrow, grief, and pain, as in this true story. “To Love Again” is a story of love, betrayal, and a path of sorrow, but in the midst of that sorrow, there is hope. Although skeptical and fearful at first, this woman realizes that, yes, it is very possible to love again.
