Debra Robinson signed her book entitled “Personal Reflections in Praising God” at The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

Each year, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books buzzes with increasing energy and vibrancy as more attendees flock to the event. From avid readers and casual book lovers to literary enthusiasts and industry professionals, crowds gather to celebrate the joy of reading.

As the largest book festival in the United States, the event kicked off with a grand two-day celebration last April at the University of Southern California. Visitors, including book enthusiasts, collectors, authors, and publishers, enjoyed the festivities free of charge.

Many attendees gravitated towards the Citi of Books booth in search of their next literary adventure and to meet up with their favorite author. Last April 20th, at the University of Southern California, Debra Robinson signed and gave out copies of her insightful book, “Personal Reflections in Praising God.”

Driven by her faith for many years, Debra Robinson feels called to share God’s blessings. For the past six years, she has volunteered in prison ministry, helping inmates earn certificates by grading their Bible study tests. Spreading the message of God’s love to these prisoners brings her great joy.

Debra’s professional life included a 43-year career as an information specialist at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, following her studies at the University of Nebraska. Now living in Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband Dennis, their three daughters, and five grandchildren, she continues to find fulfillment in her faith.

“Personal Reflections in Praising God” is Debra’s book, offering a collection of stories and scripture. It aims to guide readers towards a better life through faith. The book emphasizes the transformative power of God’s love and how applying biblical principles can lead to personal growth, happiness, and a meaningful existence.

The book delves deeper into Debra’s own experience. Having endured a loveless and difficult childhood, she contemplated suicide. However, her faith in God provided her with strength and purpose, helping her overcome past trauma.

In “Personal Reflections in Praising God,” Debra shares her remarkable journey of faith. She weaves together personal anecdotes with a rich tapestry of scripture, featuring over 2,450 verses from 38 translations, all organized alphabetically to showcase the many ways to praise and worship God.

The author of the insightful book, Debra Robinson, enthusiastically interacts with the festival attendees as she delightfully talks and discusses her book with them. This was a successful and blissful festival of books for everyone.
