Citi of Books launched the publication of the gripping book “A Silent Cry” by Chief Hacha Kusso. This book tells the heartbreaking story of a young woman who is silently crying over the reality she’s facing. Chief Hacha Kusso, also known as Pearla Gillespie Harvey, has a degree in pastoral care and is self-employed as a beeswax candle maker. Along with her husband, Dijon, she resides in South Carolina.
Chief Hacha, who was then Pearla G. Harvey, was the CEO of the non-profit organization Community First, an outreach program from 2008–2019. The organization focused on helping at-risk teens and young adults. In August 2021, Hacha Kusso was elected Head Chief of YUCHII KUSSO MVSKOKI TRIBE.
