“Meditation and Spiritual Contemplation,” a new book written by Terence McCarthy, is now available for purchase

Citi of Books is honored to launch the publication of the book “Meditation and Spiritual Contemplation” by Terence McCarthy. The book contains beneficial information for healing our inner selves. This book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and others.

Terence McCarthy spent 1961 in Thailand as a company commander in an Army Engineer Construction Battalion, living in the jungle 55 miles east of Bangkok near a village called Panom Sarakham. This was a maturing experience since he was father or mother to 200 troops, half of whom got “Dear Johns.”

In Thailand, he met the person who probably most made a difference in his life—a Redemptorist missionary priest, Father Ray Brennan (a former photographer for the Chicago Sunday News). He drove about 20 miles north of camp every Saturday to bring himself down for Sunday mass.

The author also wrote several other books, including “The Real Story: Cambodia and South Vietnam, 1953–1970,” “Fighting Alzheimer’s Disease: Major Steps to Maintain Cognitive Skills and Wellness,” and others.

“Meditation and Spiritual Contemplation” is a book that guides its readers towards better and more effective meditation. Meditation is an extremely powerful process that can result in peace of mind and significant stress reduction. Meditation comes from the Latin word “meditatum,” which means to concentrate. Meditating helps to improve the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual state of a person.
